Commission Info
All commissions are important and different! I put in a large amount of time and focus in to all commissions so that you get the best quality art I am capable of. Most portrait style commissions come in 11x14 or 11x17. They are all done in grayscale usuing charcoal and graphite. NO COLOR can be added to realism portraits. I can do almost anything, but there are few limitations:
I CAN NOT (will not):
1. Re-draw someone else's artwork. This is an ethical boundary for me, and a huge Rule. So please don't ask me to draw "this picture" and send me a poster or something you got from google images.
2. Change someone's face from the reference photo. For example, If you send me a picture of a family member who passed away, and that person is smiling in the photo, I am unable to accurately draw her "not smiling", without another reference. My only visible interpretation of your subject is the Reference photo that I am given.
3. In MOST cases, No political drawings. Everything is too divisive, and unless it is a political figure who isn't in an office, or has passed away, I will likely decline.
In most cases I recommend reaching out via email to discuss what you want. For most portrait pieces, the price ranges from 150-400. I usually need to see the subject before I give an accurate quote. Most pet pieces are around $200. There are also some specialty portraits that I can do, including:
1. Take 2 people from 2 different photos and combine them. There are some cases where this may not work, so I'd have to see both photos before I make a confirmation.
2. Add a figure to an existing photo. Am example of this is adding a baby photo to a grandparent that has passed away...or adding a pet to another pet photo.
3. Any type of changing of background elements.
For Comic-style, illustrative type of commissions, there are several types of formats and mediums to consider. My primary comic-style commission at this time is 9x12 or comic sketch cover, done in full color. These typically cost 180-220 for single characters, but prices vary. Here are some estimates on mediums and sizes. Prices may change depending on the subject and size.
